Senior Operations Manager

A Senior Operations Manager is needed by CareerWise Recruitment for our Cork based engineering distribution client. This is a new role as part of the Senior Team to support all operational aspects of the business across Ireland and the UK at a strategic and day-to-day level THE ROLE:

• Work closely with MD & FC of the business to develop & implement operational strategies to support growth, profitability which will involve cross communication across financial, commercial and operation departments to ensure accurate & timely implementation.
• Departmental planning, schedule and cross functional alignment.
• Operational lead in management & strategies
• Monitor and implement strategies/ actions points to ensure KPIs are met.
• Management of operations team of 60 across Ireland and the UK.
• Ensure the business is compliant with relevant H&S, Quality and client requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Min 8 years in operations leadership.
• Proven experience in managing multiple teams, cross company communication and delivering operational excellence.
• Relevant Third Level or equivalent operational management experience in engineering/distribution sector
• Strong leadership and people management skills (interpersonal skills) are critical.
• IT / ERP proficiency is absolutely vital.
• Ability to break down strategies & goals into manageable pieces is important.
