Senior Procurement Lead

Our client who is a leading services company has a requirement for a Senior Procurement Lead based South Dublin. This is a permanent position. You will partner cross-functionally across the groups entities to drive strategic sourcing, lead high-impact cost-saving initiatives, and manage end-to-end direct and indirect spend. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will serve as a key decision-maker within the department, providing operational leadership and directly managing a Purchasing Specialist. This is a hybrid position with 2 days on site.

Responsibilities

• Direct the full procurement lifecycle for all goods and services (direct and indirect), ensuring process efficiency, strong governance, and policy compliance across group entities.
• Identify, lead, and deliver measurable cost-saving initiatives aligned with broader business objectives.
• Source and onboard new suppliers; negotiate contracts; and actively manage vendor performance, compliance, and carrier relationships.
• Serve as the procurement lead on strategic group initiatives, advising senior management and aligning business needs with procurement strategy.
• Drive continuous improvement in procurement systems (ERP), metrics reporting, and operational workflows.
• Manage, mentor, and guide the Purchasing Specialist.

Requirements

• Third-level qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a procurement role within the Telecom / ICT market (SME experience strongly preferred)
• Hands-on experience with ERP and financial systems; change management experience is a strong plus.
• Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to influence stakeholders, negotiate complex deals, and drive consensus.
• Proven track record in team leadership and cross-functional stakeholder management.
