This role sits at the core of trading operations, supporting and optimizing mission-critical, high-performance front office systems. You'll work closely with traders, quants, software engineers, and infrastructure teams, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance across European trading platforms. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary support contact for traders and quants, ensuring optimal performance of front office trading applications.
- Collaborate with technology teams to enhance application stability, scalability, and efficiency.
- Monitor and manage server environments across multiple European co-location sites.
- Maintain and enhance batch scheduling systems and monitoring tools.
- Troubleshoot complex application/system issues using log analysis and diagnostics tools.
- Proactively implement monitoring and alerting solutions to preempt system outages.
- Lead infrastructure and environment-related projects such as hardware refreshes and new software deployments.
Required Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in managing networked application systems (Windows Server 2012/2019, databases).
- Scripting capabilities in Python, PowerShell, or Windows Batch.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities using logs, system tracing, and network diagnostics.
- Familiarity with batch scheduling tools and monitoring systems (e.g., Splunk, Check_mk).
- Technical degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.
