APPLICATIONS ENGINEER - COUNTY KILDARE.

This role is an exciting opportunity for an Applications Engineer with a number of years’ experience, to work on supporting the innovation, design and development of digital inspection and measurement solutions.

The Application Engineer will primarily be responsible for conducting feasibility studies and Proof of Concepts (PoC's) for customer specific applications as well as providing technical support and training to global customers and channel partners in the manufacturing inspection industry.

Contributing to a creative and innovative environment, and reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will provide customer application feedback which will contribute to the overall development of the product offering.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• A good technical competence with analytical skills
• A proven track record of meeting deadlines
• Experience in a fully commercial environment ideally related to industrial inspection equipment or similar, and an aptitude to present customer on site demonstrations of technical products
• A proven record in providing excellent customer support
• A proficiency with Microsoft packages – Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Teams

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
CUSTOMER SUPPORT:
• To use product/service and application knowledge to address customer enquiries, challenges and requests in a manner that enhances the company's reputation as a solution provider
• To provide customer technical email and phone support
• Enable customer self-sufficiency by creating user/technical documentation and training materials
• Create and maintain FAQ and answer database
SALES SUPPORT:
• Develop Proof of Concept (PoC) solutions and reports for customers
• Create and maintain a database of customer application samples
• Manage training on the range of products and provide technical support for new sales opportunities
• Travel to tradeshows and visit customers on site
SOFTWARE TESTING
• Software Testing and Bug reporting
SYSTEM SETUP
• Setup comparison experiments for evaluation of new technology
• Component and accessory sourcing
COLLABORATION
• Collaborate with internal groups (Quality Control, Sales and Marketing) to resolve client issues and drive quality improvements
