WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Director to join our Strategy Team.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a high impact position playing a pivotal role in helping shape and deliver our strategic direction and achieve measurable benefits for InterTradeIreland, as well as the businesses and stakeholders we engage with.
The successful candidate will support the Strategy Director in overseeing the management of our research, insights and policy development activity. The role will require working closely with colleagues across the organisation and with external stakeholders and partners to provide research and policy insights to inform and support strategy development, identify opportunities to accelerate enterprise growth and deliver shared economic policy priorities through joined-up thinking and all-island collaboration.
Through significant stakeholder engagement you will be responsible for enhancing InterTradeIreland’s reputation, credibility and strategic positioning within the wider economic support ecosystem across the island

THE IDEAL PERSON WILL HAVE:
- A degree or equivalent third-level qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years’ management experience which involved identifying and developing strategic activities to meet an organisation’s strategic objectives.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience managing research and/or economic strategy/policy development activity for an organisation.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multi-stakeholder projects with strong operational and strategic outcomes.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience of proactively managing and effectively leading a team, with an ability to plan and organise work to achieve results within tight deadlines, focusing on priorities and objectives with a clear sense of direction.
