We’re pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for an Operations Co-ordinator to join the parkrun Ireland team.

parkrun is a health and wellbeing charity and our vision is to create a healthier and happier planet.

Since our inception in 2004, parkrun has evolved into a global social movement with a vibrant and inclusive community at its core. As of 2025, we have recorded over 120-million instances of walking, jogging, running, and volunteering.

Our mission is to transform lives by empowering people to be active, social and outdoors in their local community; and to protect parkrun for the generations to come. Each and every weekend, we deliver free, weekly timed events that people of all ages and backgrounds can join. By removing barriers to participation, we create welcoming events where communities can connect, build confidence, and thrive.

Now in its 21st year, parkrun spans over 2,600 locations in 23 countries with more than 11 million people registered, and counting.

And we have really only just begun.

The role

This role sits at the heart of the Irish team operations, providing seamless coordination across events, administration, and systems. Acting as a key point of contact, the role ensures queries are managed efficiently, logistics are delivered smoothly, and new event processes are well coordinated, while maintaining strong compliance standards.

We offer great flexible working conditions and a range of employee benefits including 25 days paid leave (plus Bank Holidays) and a commitment to develop your skills and provide training.

We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and particularly welcome applications from under-represented groups, to enable us to bring diversity of perspective to our thinking and conversation. We are committed to inclusion and ensuring that everyone that joins the organisation has what they need to thrive personally and professionally. If you share our values and ambitions, and have the skills and experience, then we would be delighted to receive your application.
