CNC Technician
Sanderson is working with a well known global technology company, and they're looking for a talented CNC technician to join their team. As a vital member of the Manufacturing Team, you will play a crucial role in machining and assessing prototype components while offering valuable insights to enhance the design of critical elements within their cable system. You'll provide leadership within the manufacturing team, guiding work packages from conceptualisation to execution, and ensuring alignment with both individual and company objectives. In this role, you will be reporting directly to the Head of Manufacturing, you'll collaborate closely with a dynamic and diverse technical team to drive innovation and excellence.
Your Responsibilities:

  • Precision machining of custom components for R&D and Product Development phases.
  • Thorough measurement and inspection of machined parts.
  • Oversight of incoming goods receipt and storage.
  • Effective management of raw materials and consumables.
  • Creation of essential documentation, including standard operating procedures and quality checks.
  • Offering actionable feedback to R&D and Product Development teams for continuous design enhancement.
  • Flexible support for various projects across technical and commercial departments.
  • Playing a pivotal role within the manufacturing team.
  • Ensuring clear and concise communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • About You

Your Experience:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in machining various metals and polymers.
  • Expertise in operating CNC mill-turns, encompassing programming and setup.
  • Capacity to work autonomously to deliver on project objectives.
  • Experience in measurement and inspection, utilising both automated and hand held equipment.
  • Strong ability to interpret and comprehend technical drawings.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to teamwork.

Essential:

  • Completion of a tool making apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in machining with a CNC Multi Axis Machine.

Desired:

  • Familiarity with components related to high voltage electrical cables.
  • Background in manufacturing environments.
  • Experience working with Siemens controls.
