AutoCAD Technical Designer

Our company Shauna Kelly Interiors a leading Luxury residential Interior Design and installation company working on high end Luxury Interior projects. As part of our very exciting growth plans and in a response to our ever-increasing demand for our luxury Interiors we are now looking to recruit a AutoCAD Designer who has a strong background in CAD detailing .

We are looking for a talented designer to support our technical team in developing consistent and accurate design details that reflect the brand and quality of our work. You will be tasked with producing technical drawings to the appropriate level of detailing (including specialist materials) for construction and installation. In addition, there will be pre-sales / design intent drawing production tasks as well. You will be working collaboratively with clients, advisors, design professionals, and internal project teams so outstanding communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with Interiors Designers and clients to develop the best possible design
• Communicate design intent through 3D modelling for review
• Generating clear and accurate approval and production drawings
• Ability to communicate to sub-contractor shop floor joiners design intent and to help answer questions and problem solve through the production process
• Working to timescales and hitting deadlines are essential to this role

Key Requirements

• You will take a lead role in taking accurate site surveys and subsequent drawing production whilst ensuring deadlines are kept and budget constraints delivered.
• This is a permanent position playing a key role in developing the drawing capabilities within the joinery division. The company uses AutodCAD software
• The applicant will need practical joinery manufacturing knowledge and be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of design for manufacture and installation.
• You will keep up to date with both current trends and traditional standards, you will keep an eye on current materials, products and manufacturing and use this understanding to affect the design and manufacture.

Skills

• Experience in a similar role with some knowledge of architecture and interior design
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in AutoCAD or other design software packages
