They are seeking a Clerk of Works to provide independent oversight on a range of high-quality architectural projects.
About Your New Job
- The role is central to ensuring that works on site are delivered in line with design intent, building regulations, and best practice standards.
- Acting as the client’s eyes and ears on site, the Clerk of Works will safeguard quality, compliance, and safety while supporting the smooth delivery of projects.
- Inspect and monitor construction works to verify compliance with architectural design, technical specifications, and building regulations.
- Provide impartial assessments of workmanship, quality, and safety on site.
- Report regularly to the Principal Architect, highlighting any deviations, defects, or risks.
- Certify works and materials as completed in line with contractual and statutory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation at all stages of construction.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, photographic evidence, and progress reports.
- Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives to resolve technical or quality issues.
- Attend site and project meetings, providing professional input on construction quality and compliance.
- Monitor progress against programme and escalate issues affecting delivery.
What Skills You Need
- Strong knowledge of Irish Building Regulations and HSE requirements.
- A background in construction inspection, Clerk of Works, or architectural/site roles.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and quality assurance skills.
- Relevant technical or professional qualifications are desirable.
