About Your New Role

As Technical Manager for a well known high profile financial services client, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the all services, ensuring all planned, reactive, and project works are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You’ll lead a skilled on-site technical team and manage subcontractors to deliver outstanding service and compliance with all statutory, safety, and client requirements. This role is pivotal in maintaining the reliability, efficiency, and performance of building systems while driving continuous improvement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the on-site technical team to deliver all M&E services to agreed standards and client satisfaction.
  • Manage day-to-day technical operations, coordinating self-delivered and subcontracted works.
  • Oversee PPM schedules, reactive maintenance, and project works to ensure compliance, efficiency, and safety.
  • Prepare and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost control and financial accountability.
  • Ensure all plant and equipment meet current legislation and best practice standards.
  • Review and optimise technical systems to improve energy efficiency and operational performance.
  • Lead on Health & Safety compliance, audits, permits, and incident investigations.
  • Maintain ISO certifications (9001, 14001, 18001, 50001) in line with company standards.
  • Manage third-party supplier performance and contract compliance.
  • Produce operational reports and documentation for senior management and clients.
  • Conduct staff performance reviews and identify training and development needs.

What Skills You Need

  • Trade Qualified Electrician
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, refrigeration, electrical and electronic systems.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within commercial facilities or outsourced environments.
  • Strong background of managing third party suppliers.
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, BMS, UPS, and life safety systems.
  • Proven leadership and people management experience in a facilities setting (5–10 years).
  • Skilled in budget management, supplier coordination, and H&S compliance.
  • Very good IT/computer skills including an understanding of BMS, UPS/Generator, HVAC, Life
  • safety & CMMS systems
