Joinery Workshop Team Leader

About Your New Job

  • Lead Daily Operations: As the Joinery Workshop Team Leader, you will oversee daily joinery operations, ensuring safety, output, quality, and cost management.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with sales, customer service, setting out, finished goods warehouse, installations, and logistics to ensure on-time and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Production Workflow Management: Organize the joinery production workflow, manage resource allocation, and ensure timely execution of production plans.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement efforts by identifying and implementing opportunities to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
  • Monitor KPIs: Track joinery production KPIs, including efficiency, downtime, and quality metrics, and take action to address any performance deficiencies.
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Support the development and implementation of joinery standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Policy Adherence: Ensure adherence to company policies, safety regulations, quality standards, and relevant documentation requirements.

What Skills You Need

  • Experience: Proven 3 years’ experience in a team lead role, preferably in a joinery manufacturing environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Some experience in continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills to motivate and develop staff.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills for effective communication across teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and solve operational problems proactively and effectively.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing production priorities.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • IT Skills: Fully competent in Microsoft Office tools; knowledge of SharePoint would be an advantage.
