A Process Engineer is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our multinational pharmaceutical client in Cork for a full time onsite, initial 12-month contract role.
The Process Engineer will be responsible for a mix of Cleaning Validation and Process / Project Engineering activities for small molecule manufacturing facility.
THE ROLE:
- Batch manufacturing facilities in small molecule / API areas of the site.
- Capital projects related to API process optimisation, facility recapitalisation.
- Turnaround (equipment cleaning and setup) activities between API manufacturing campaign.
- Deliver the execution of Cleaning on schedule.
- Responsible to meet business plan for Cleaning cycle times, identify bottlenecks and own resolutions.
- Providing engineering support to manufacturing in order to safely deliver the production schedule.
- Collaborating with C&Q and projects groups on rig upgrades and qualification activities.
- User Rep for small project capital delivery: establishing equipment requirements and facilitating project delivery.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree (L8) qualification in Engineering/Science/Technical (i.e. Chemical Engineering of interest)
- Minimum five years’ experience in API manufacturing areas such as;
- Production Operations/Unit Operation support (reactions, distillations, crystallizations, drying, milling etc).
- New product introduction / tech transfer
- Process automation
- Equipment/Process Design and capital project delivery.
- Cleaning Validation
- Experience in Process Safety and Quality Compliance aspects of API manufacturing and project delivery.
