Senior Chemist

A Senior Chemist is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our multinational medical device client in Galway for a fulltime on-site role on an initial 12-month contract.

The Senior Chemist will act as subject matter expert and provide oversight for critical NPD areas.

THE ROLE:

• Work independently to plan and schedule activities to meet project timelines.
• Author technical reports and validation documents.
• Provide guidance and communicate updates to cross-functional and cross-site teams.
• Support laboratory investigations to determine root cause and implement meaningful corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce testing lead-times and support cost saving targets.
• Supports training of new colleagues.
• Supports Internal and External Audit programs.
• Support Regulatory submissions.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Level 8) in a relevant Chemistry, Science, Engineering or other technical discipline.
• 5+ years’ relevant experience in a medical device organization.
• Test method development experience essential.
• Experience in dissolution/HPLC and Liquid/Gas Chromatography.
