Vehicle Integration Technician

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Vehicle Integration Technician to join a leading technology organisation developing advanced sensing, vision and intelligent systems solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage electrical integration and fit-out of test and development platforms.
  • Design and install power distribution systems.
  • Integrate measurement and data acquisition equipment.
  • Support prototype and demonstration builds.
  • Develop architecture and systems documentation.
  • Produce technical procedures and training materials.
  • Support communication networks and control systems.
  • Design and coordinate mechanical mounting and interface solutions.
  • Participate in supplier and technology evaluations.
  • Monitor project costs, timelines and technical risks.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and engineering standards.
  • Provide technical support across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Generate design reviews, project milestones and progress updates.
  • Support testing, upgrades and deployment activities.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum four years' experience in a relevant engineering, systems integration or technician position.
  • Experience working with modern electrical architectures.
  • Knowledge of communication networks and control systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

  • Mechanical design.
  • Control systems.
  • Software development or scripting.
  • Engineering test tools.
  • Data acquisition systems.
  • Instrumentation and measurement technologies.
