Customer Service Representative - County Cavan.
In this role you will act as the voice of the company to the customer, and of the customer to the company. You will play an integral role in building strong relationships with customers. You will form part of the dynamic Contracts Management team, interacting with Customers, Sales, Planning and Production. It is a highly administrative role requiring extensive communication skills.
Job Overview:
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for managing customer orders from receipt through to delivery, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a high level of customer satisfaction. This role involves regular interaction with customers and internal teams, using systems such as Microsoft Office applications and SAP to process and track orders. This will be a fully on-site office-based role, reporting directly to the Customer Fulfilment Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
• Liaise with customers and build strong customer relations.
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using SAP.
• Monitor order status and ensure timely delivery to customers.
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email in a professional manner.
• Resolve order-related issues, including delays, discrepancies, and returns.
• Maintain accurate customer and order records in internal systems.
• Collaborate with logistics, sales, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
• Generate reports and track order metrics.
• Prepare customer communications and documentation using Microsoft Office Tools.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and service standards.
• Organize customer on-site visits as and when required.
Requirements for this role:
• Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in a customer service or order processing role.
• Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems preferred; confident using digital tools to manage orders, quotes, and client records.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Leaving Certificate or equivalent; relevant third-level qualification is an advantage.
• Proven track record in relationship management and customer service, with a focus on delivering exceptional client experiences.
• Background in customer relations within a manufacturing, engineering, or project-managed environment is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills in both verbal and written form, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Highly organised and detail-oriented, with strong administrative and time management capabilities.
