Maintenance Electrician – County Roscommon

We are seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join a Food Ingredients site. This position is within a multi-disciplined Co-operative. The successful candidate will be part of a close-knit team reporting into the Maintenance Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out repair and maintenance work on equipment
• Equipment installation and commissioning
• Problem solving and troubleshooting manufacturing issues
• Preventative maintenance and periodic testing of equipment
• Complete site documentation as appropriate
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to support production goals
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Preform related duties as required by the Area Supervisor

The ideal candidate will have:

• A trade qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation or Control Engineering with a minimum of 5 years industrial experience
• A working knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting skills
• A knowledge of electro-pneumatics
• Experience with instrumentation and process control equipment
• Experience with electrical / controls schematics
• Strong practical skills
• Good attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
