Maintenance Foreman - County Cavan.
Our client seeks a Maintenance Foreman who is driven, and willing to take on responsibility and grow as a leader in the organisation.
The role will operate on shift rotation (6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday).
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and monitoring of the maintenance team in the delivery of required works including electrical/mechanical service, building fabric and grounds.
- Organize tasks for most effective and efficient productivity.
- Supporting maintenance team with duties to enhance quality and productivity.
- Communicate effectively with all relevant departments.
- Contribute to proactive problem solving.
- Improve and monitor health and safety of personnel
- Resolving issues and keeping detailed records of shift events and non-conformances.
- Ensuring targets are being achieved and that work is carried out competently to the expected quality standard in a safe, clean working environment.
- Reporting to Engineering concerning major projects ongoing and the status of projects for maintenance, repair and improvement. Reports on any critical machinery issues, significant spends and areas of concern for people, machine or systems.
Interested applicants should have:
• Previous experience in a foreman role or work of a similar nature.
• Previous experience of working in a manufacturing plant.
• Be driven for success and willing to take responsibility.
• Be self-motivated for continuous improvement.
• Be an excellent communicator & computer literate.
• Have previous experience and commitment with regards Quality & Health & Safety standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Be flexible for pre-arranged training/meetings on outside of regular hours.
• Should be a qualified electrician or have Mechanical Automation and Maintenance Fitting qualification.
