Materials Manager - County Louth.
As a key member of the leadership team, the Materials Manager will will be responsible for all procurement and planning activities to ensure compliance, customer & company requirements are met at the best value
Core Responsibilities & Duties:
• Management of the procurement and planning teams
• Work with the production and sales teams with regards to customer schedules to ensure on time delivery of finished product to customers
• Leads the negotiation of the purchase of raw materials and management of second process supply chain to ensure consistency and best value to drive cost savings
• Identify / procure and control raw material requirements consumed in the manufacture of finished product
• Co-ordinates, in conjunction with Stores and the Quality department, the resolution of any internal or external complaints of purchased raw materials and / or second process issues
• Responsible for maintaining and reporting on vendor performance and reporting findings in line with documented procedures
• Responsible for monitoring and maintaining ERP systems accuracy
• Support the wider management team
Interested applicants should have:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior role in procurement / planning in a fast paced manufacturing environment
• Strong communication skills across both internal and external teams
• Very strong MS office skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access)
• Self-motivated with strong work ethic and able to manage conflicting priorities
• Experience using ERP system to plan material timelines
• People management skills / experience
