  • Drive supplier changes to minimize risk, improve performance, and optimize parts/supplier sourcing.
  • Initiate and oversee major part resourcing activities while ensuring continuity of supply.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, R&D, manufacturing operations, quality, and engineering to drive product and supply base improvements aligned with business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with various supplier manufacturing technologies and processes, supplier controls, and industry standards. Specialization in related commodities is advantageous (e.g., metal fabrication, plastic molding, PCBA, etc.).
  • Understanding of best practices in ESI, DfMA, DtC, VE, and Engineering Change management.
  • Ability to influence supplier selection decisions at both operational and strategic procurement levels.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills with suppliers.
  • Proven track record in project management, including initiating and leading supplier optimization projects.
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and analytical skills with the ability to leverage data for decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, business writing, and presentation skills.
  • Self-directed, goal-oriented, and able to manage priorities in an Agile environment.
  • Collaborative team player capable of building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Procurement, or Supply Chain (QQI level 8). Consideration given to individuals with extensive technical experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' professional experience in Procurement/Technical roles, preferably in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment. Manufacturing engineering experience is beneficial.
  • Strong interest in developing expertise in suppliers, materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes.
