Senior Software Engineer (C#) - North Dublin

About the Role:

Our client is in search of a Senior Software Engineer with a strong track record in software development, system integration, and timely product delivery. We're seeking a candidate who can showcase their ability to collaborate effectively and methodically with various Engineering functions, such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, and System Integration. The role entails working on a diverse range of cross-functional projects focused on supporting test/result processing, real-time interfacing, and local diagnostic user-interfaces within cutting-edge software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop high-quality software solutions, leveraging your proven experience in complex software development within a high-performing team environment.
• Advantageous to have experience in:
  • Highly concurrent task-based solutions incorporating resource prediction and fault tolerance, and asynchronous method invocation.
  • Strong programming skills in C# and .NET with a solid understanding of related architectural considerations.
  • Demonstrable experience in .Net Remoting, WCF, and/or Grpc-based communication.
  • Experience in unit testing approaches and User Interface Development.
  • Knowledge of databases, with SQLServer and stored procedures experience being beneficial.
• Translate customer needs and design input requirements into detailed architecture and design specifications, ready for critical review by local and external teams.
• Employ software engineering best practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality work (e.g., Agile, SCRUM, GDP).
• Contribute to the development of testing strategies for all software releases, including unit testing and code reviews.
• Experience in Risk Analysis and implementing risk mitigation strategies would be advantageous.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline (Electronics, Software, Electrical, Mechatronic).
• Minimum of 5 years' relevant engineering experience within a high-performing software team.
