Job Description: Accounts Administrator, Part-Time
Requirements: Candidate should be a qualified accounts technician and/or a part qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with at least 3-5 years’ experience. An IPASS qualification would be advantageous. He/she should have excellent computer, bookkeeping, and financial analysis skills. The candidate must be confident, diligent and self-motivated, with a high-level of exposure to IT systems, specifically Sage 50. Must be a team player and have excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities to include:
Accounts Payable/Receivable
Process supplier & customer payments per payment terms
Match invoices to delivery notes, reconciliations.
Prepare creditor, debtor reports – debtor collection.
Payroll
Managing the payroll via Thesaurus
Running payroll reports for the M.D and providing reports
Preparing wages journal each month for posting into the ledger
Checking pension deductions and liaising with pension provider with any amendments
Ad-hoc employee queries
Dealing with external auditors
Purchase ledger
Post all supplier invoices to accounts
VAT
Preparation of bi-monthly VAT returns
Reviewing VAT return and cross checking to invoices
Compliance with statutory Revenue obligations and ROS filing requirements
Intrastat returns
Prepare and file monthly intrastat returns via ROS
VIES returns
Prepare and file quarterly VIES returns via ROS
Bank Reconciliations
Entering payments and receipts into ledger and reconciling same
Monthly accounts
Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts.
Maintenance of general ledger to audit standard.
Prepare and post month end journals (prepayments, accruals, depreciation).
Perform other balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis (PAYE/VAT control accounts)
Other activities
Maintain fixed assets register
Annual budget preparation
Manage company/employee credit cards
Liaising with auditors and other professional advisors
Manage company phone contracts
Participate in purchase of company cars, equipment etc.,
Undertake product shipments to customer and accept supplier deliveries as needed.
