Finance Manager - Public Sector- Hybrid - D2 - 80K

My client a public sector agency growing and developing their finance team now have a requirement for an experienced Finance Manager to mentor a busy and developing team

- Coming from a similar role within the public sector

- Help to improve processes within the  team and set up other procedures and efficiencies

About Your New Job

• Lead in all month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries
• Compile and analyse financial information to help with the preparation of financial statements including monthly and annual accounts in accordance with IFRS
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with company policies and procedures
• Reconcile assigned cash, receivables and liability accounts. Resolve accounting discrepancies or disputes associated with account balances and reconciliations
• Prepare assigned management monthly reports with notations to clarify financial data where needed
• Ensure that the business is compliant with tax and accounting and company law compliance responsibilities in multiple jurisdictions
• Preparation and completion of Ad-hoc business review reports as required
• Management and communication of any bespoke internal projects
• Audit Work 

REQUIREMENTS

• Qualified Accountant with 4-5 years pqe from Public sector 
• 3+ years of corporate accounting experience
• Knowledge in IFRS concepts and ability to communicate basic accounting concepts
• Strong reporting 
• Staff management and development
