QC Microbiology Specialist

About Your New Job

  • Perform cleanroom, BSC & Isolator batch related monitoring: You will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of critical environments.
  • Utility sampling of water systems and Compressed Air/Gas: Conduct essential sampling to support manufacturing activities.
  • In-Process testing: Perform HPLC and UV Spectrophotometry testing on critical lot related samples.
  • Biological indicators: Issue, receive, and test biological indicators, and report results.
  • Environmental monitoring: Read and report environmental monitoring, BIs, and aseptic qualification sample results.
  • Media fills: Participate in media fills and reconcile media fill units.
  • Microorganism identification: Identify microorganisms isolated post testing activities.
  • Documentation: Complete all laboratory documentation accurately and timely.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with SOPs and registered specifications.
  • Support: Provide support to other departments to meet qualification and production schedules.
  • Investigation: Investigate any alert/action limit excursions according to site procedures.
  • Sample processing: Receive and process drug substance and drug product samples.
  • Lean lab practices: Adhere to and improve lean lab and 6S practices.
  • Housekeeping and safety: Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety in the laboratory.

What Skills You Need

  • Minimum of a Level 8 degree in Microbiology or related discipline.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical/healthcare laboratory or related technical function.
  • Relevant experience working in a cleanroom environment using aseptic techniques.
  • Experience with isolators, HPLC, UV Spectrophotometry, MODA, Empower, CIMS, LIMS, LES, and Veeva Vault is desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
