About Your New Job
- Design and Delivery of Consultations: Create and implement child-rights based consultation processes that are inclusive and accessible to diverse groups of children and young people.
- Consultation Growth: Expand initiatives to capture and highlight the experiences and views of children and young people.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with NGOs, schools, youth services, and other stakeholders to support consultation delivery.
- Participation Quality and Child Safeguarding: Ensure best practices in ethical, safe, and meaningful participation of children and young people.
- Analysis and Report Development: Analyze findings and produce clear, child-friendly reports.
- Events and Engagement: Lead events focused on engaging children and young people at regional, national, and European levels.
- Rights Education: Oversee and implement the Rights Education Programme in collaboration with the team.
- Management: Supervise the day-to-day work of Participation and Rights Education Officers.
- Collaboration: Work with the team to deliver rights awareness and education programmes.
What Skills You Need
- A qualification of at least level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g., social science, human rights, education).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in leading participatory processes involving children and young people.
- Proven experience in running consultations and engaging with diverse groups of children and young people.
- Previous experience in managing staff.
- Strong understanding of child rights and experience designing online and hybrid engagement tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong facilitation and group work skills.
- Analytical and report-writing skills.
