LotusWorks currently have a vacancy for a UPW Engineer based in Brazil. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining the Ultra Pure Water and HVAC systems to support manufacturing processes for our client.

Responsibilities:

Manage the design of clean room HVAC, hydraulics, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

Work in conjunction with other trade disciplines to maintain a safe working environment and project schedule.

Operation, monitoring and control of complex automated process plant.

Perform Operational and Functional acceptation tests of Process systems.

Perform design reviews and check off all Process drawings.

Hands on Trouble shooting of commissioned systems prior to handover.

Responsible for the co-coordination of the plant start-up and commissioning schedules to satisfy client deadlines and minimise plant downtime.

Performance reviews and fine tuning of Process systems after the handover period.

Liaising and reporting to Engineering Owners and Project Managers etc.

Staff training and handover of commissioned plant and equipment.

Education and Experience:

Diploma in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.

At least 5 years relevant industry experience.

Experience with construction, startup, and turnover of facilities mechanical and HVAC systems.

Proficiency with reading and interpreting construction contract documents.

Familiarity with design and sizing methods for Ultra Pure water and/or RO/DI systems would be an added advantage.

Basic knowledge and/or understanding of control methods for mechanical and/or process systems.

Ability to interface with a multi-user customer base.

Ability to manage workload of multiple projects of varying complexity.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Good interpersonal skills.

Working knowledge of office personal computer applications.
