PERFORMANCE TEST TEAM LEADER
Performance Test Team Leader, Limerick
Our client is a well established dynamic international company in the fast paced international software sector. They have a large software development centre in Limerick City, and due to continued expansion, they have retained PBRecruitment to hire a Performance Test Team Leader. This is a key role for the organisation, and the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the performance test activities for customer and product projects.
You will produce strategy, approach and detailed plans for performance test activities and define the required testing for a project based on time, quality and cost and you will ensure the proposed level of testing is appropriate and efficient. You will attend and lead sections of the Monthly Test Management Meeting and you will manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of testing activities within projects. You will create performance scripts and prepare the test harness and you will design and implement performance testing tools and environments.
Due to the performance test team being small, there will be a on-going requirement for the candidate to be “hands on” with performance testing activities, as well as managing the team.
Required skills and experience:
You have a primary degree in a relevant subject area (Electronic Engineering, Computer Science etc) and you are experienced software professional, with circa 5- 10 yrs work experience. You should have specific experience of performance testing (i.e. 2 – 6 years experience); with a good grasp of performance test tools. You should have experience in defining and implementing performance test processes and tools.
If you are interested in this role and do not have specific experience of performance testing, candidates with a very technical background in software QA/testing with skills in Java may also be considered for this role. Experience of working with offshore teams would also be of interest. Excellent interpersonal skills and lots of energy are also required!
