Process Quality Engineer

CareerWise Recruitment is hiring a Process Quality Engineer for a 12-month contract with a leading multinational in Cork. The role involves supporting quality assurance and control within operations, driving continuous improvement, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading initiatives to enhance product and process quality. Working as part of the Quality Operations team, the engineer will perform quality-related activities with moderate supervision.

THE ROLE:
* Collaborate with Operations and Business functions to ensure product and process quality.
* Approve non-conformances (NCs) and contribute to effective problem-solving and root cause analysis.
* Support the development and improvement of manufacturing processes for both new and existing products.
* Review and support change management activities.
* Monitor and analyze process quality KPIs, interpret trends, and take corrective actions as needed.
* Assist in the execution and analysis of Quality Assurance Tests (QATs).
Promote Human Factors practices and apply principles to identify, reduce, and mitigate risks.
Build knowledge in risk management and gain proficiency in process risk analysis.
* Support optimization of inspection methods, sampling plans, and First Article Inspections.
* Develop skills in statistical methods and their practical application.
* Participate in internal audits and support external audit preparations, developing confidence in audit interactions.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor of Science, Engineering or related subject
* 2 years post-graduate experience in Manufacturing
* Understanding of Med Device concepts is desirable.
* High level of PC skills. Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint packages.
