We are currently seeking a Graduate Process Engineer to join our client's team at a leading FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) site in Dungarvan. This is an initial 12-month contract position, offering an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate to gain valuable industry experience.
The successful candidate will support the development, design, and optimization of mechanical processes and systems, contributing to the continuous improvement of manufacturing operations.
THE ROLE:
* Perform process simulations, calculations, and analysis to support engineering designs (Example pumps).
* Support project teams in the preparation of technical documentation including process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
* Conduct process troubleshooting and problem-solving activities to optimize system performance.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, production, and quality departments, to deliver project milestones.
* Participate in commissioning, and validation activities as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Approximately 1-2 years post-graduate experience in a process engineering role, preferably within a mechanical or industrial engineering environment.
* Proficient in engineering software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
* Strong understanding of mechanical processes, systems integration, and engineering fundamentals.
* Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
