Director, SAP Commerce Cloud Operations

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Director of SAP Commerce Cloud Operations to lead the operational management, optimisation, and support of a large-scale SAP Commerce Cloud platform. This role requires deep technical expertise in SAP Commerce (Hybris), strong leadership capability, and a proven ability to deliver operational excellence in complex enterprise environments.

You will be responsible for ensuring platform reliability, performance, and scalability while driving continuous improvement, automation, and innovation across digital commerce operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations and support of SAP Commerce Cloud environments
• Define, implement, and manage SLAs, KPIs, and incident response processes
• Ensure high availability, performance, and uptime of the commerce platform
• Collaborate with business, product, and IT leadership to align platform operations with business objectives
• Develop and execute strategic roadmaps for platform enhancements, upgrades, and operational improvements
• Lead and grow a team of engineers, DevOps professionals, and support staff
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation
• Ensure compliance with data security policies, GDPR, and internal audit requirements
• Lead risk assessments and mitigation strategies for platform stability
• Drive automation across deployment, monitoring, and operational support processes
• Oversee performance tuning, capacity planning, and root cause analysis of critical incidents
• Engage with globally distributed teams and senior stakeholders across the organisation

Key Requirements

• 10+ years’ experience in IT operations or technology leadership roles
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) in large-scale environments
• Proven track record managing complex digital commerce operations
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and microservices architecture
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk
• Strong leadership experience managing technical teams and senior engineers
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills at executive level
• Experience working in Agile or SAFe delivery environments
• ITIL certification or similar is advantageous

Nice to Have

• SAP Certified Development Specialist – SAP Commerce Cloud
• Experience integrating SAP Commerce Cloud with SAP S/4HANA, ERP, CRM, or other enterprise systems
• Exposure to enterprise-scale transformation or platform modernisation programmes

Location & Working Pattern

• Dublin-based role
• Hybrid working model – 2 days onsite per week
