Project Manager
We are partnering with a leading engineering and process solutions company to recruit a Project Manager to join their growing Projects & Engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering project professional to lead the delivery of complex projects across regulated manufacturing environments. The successful candidate will take ownership of projects from initial design and procurement through to construction, testing, commissioning and final handover, ensuring delivery is achieved safely, on time and within budget.
The Role
Reporting to the Projects & Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple engineering projects while leading multidisciplinary teams and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors. You will play a key role in ensuring projects meet technical, commercial and quality objectives throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate project, process and mechanical engineering teams.
- Manage client relationships and ensure customer expectations are met throughout project delivery.
- Oversee project activities including design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning.
- Drive project delivery to agreed timelines, budgets and quality standards.
- Manage suppliers and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and implement mitigation plans.
- Review technical specifications, scope requirements and engineering documentation.
- Support design reviews and project governance activities.
- Maintain project records, schedules and documentation.
- Provide commissioning and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) support where required.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved.
Requirements
- Degree qualification in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Process, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Project Management role within an engineering environment.
- Strong mechanical and process engineering knowledge.
- Experience working within pharmaceutical, biotechnology or other highly regulated manufacturing sectors would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving capability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver against challenging deadlines.
