Project Manager — Third-Party Platform Migration & CRM (Freshsales)
Reporting to
Regional General Manager / PMO Lead
Purpose of the role
You’ll lead the end-to-end delivery of a major business platform change: migrating a new third-party business platform from a legacy system while implementing a new CRM (Freshsales). You’ll bring structure, pace, and governance—coordinating cross-functional teams and suppliers to land a clean transition into BAU.
What you’ll deliver (key outcomes)
- Bus operating company booking system delivered end-to-end, aligned to agreed scope, quality standards, and governance.
- Freshsales CRM implementation, from requirements through configuration, testing, and go-live.
- Clear project controls: PID, integrated project plan, RAID logs, and resource plans that keep delivery transparent and predictable.
- Strong delivery rhythm: reporting, stakeholder updates, workshops, and decision forums that remove blockers fast.
- Supplier oversight: effective management of third parties to timelines, cost, quality, and contract expectations.
- A smooth handover to BAU with operational readiness, documentation, training inputs, and support model agreed.
Responsibilities
- Own delivery across full project lifecycle: initiation → planning → execution → testing → cutover → hypercare → BAU transition.
- Build and maintain project governance artefacts (PID, plan, RAID, resourcing, status reporting).
- Coordinate internal stakeholders across business, operations, IT, data, and customer teams.
- Run workshops and working sessions to align requirements, process changes, and implementation approach.
- Manage risks/issues proactively, ensuring mitigation plans are practical and owned.
- Drive supplier performance and ensure dependencies are visible and actively managed.
- Provide clear, regular stakeholder communication—what’s done, what’s next, what’s blocked, and what decisions are required.
Essential skills & experience
- Proven experience delivering IT / business change projects, especially bespoke software delivery (not just off-the-shelf rollouts).
- Strong stakeholder management skills—able to influence, challenge, and align senior and operational stakeholders.
- Highly organised with disciplined project governance and reporting habits.
Desirable
- Experience in transport / logistics environments.
- Background in application delivery (working closely with dev, test, data, and integration teams).
- Project management certification (e.g., APM / PRINCE2 / PMP).
Core competencies (what “good” looks like)
- Structured, proactive, and delivery-focused—you don’t wait for clarity, you create it.
- Strong problem solving: you simplify complexity and keep teams moving.
- Effective communicator: clear, concise updates and confident facilitation in meetings/workshops.
