Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Chemical Formulation Specialist to join the  Product Development team, specialising in Fountain Solution technology. This is an exciting opportunity for a scientifically driven professional to take ownership of formulation development, solve complex technical challenges, and contribute to innovation within a global product segment.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently develop formulation, recipe, and raw material expertise within the Fountain Solution product segment
• Manage and execute work across internal orders (IA), customer quality reports (KuQuM), technology projects, and daily operational projects
• Compile, analyse, and present results with clear recommendations to project managers and supervisors, ensuring proper documentation in SAP and departmental systems
• Lead and manage technology and daily work projects from planning through to execution
• Analyse product, customer, and application requirements to deliver effective technical solutions
• Develop customer-specific solutions for complex application challenges, considering chemical product properties
• Identify root causes of issues and provide long-term corrective and preventive recommendations
• Identify product cost optimisation (PCO) opportunities and lead implementation projects
• Support patent monitoring activities related to formulation and application developments
• Validate and introduce new raw material components
• Provide technical product recommendations and application support (internal and external stakeholders)
• Create and maintain formulations and associated documentation within SAP
• Coordinate and plan print testing activities
• Define test methods, characteristics, and specification limits within the product range
• Support the development and implementation of new test methods and procedures
• Prepare technical documentation, including technical information sheets
• Collaborate with Technical Marketing teams globally on formulation-related topics
• Support Operations and Quality Assurance teams to ensure product consistency, specification compliance, and trend analysis in manufacturing

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemistry (essential)
• Proven experience in formulation development, product development, or a related chemical environment
• Strong understanding of chemical properties and their application in product performance
• Experience working with SAP or similar systems is an advantage
• Demonstrated project management and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Strong analytical skills with a structured and methodical approach
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional, global environment
