Our client is looking to hire a Senior QA Automation Engineer. In this role you will work closely with Engineering teams and platform teams within an API-first architecture. Partner with SRE and Platform teams to advance reliability, observability, and production readiness. Support the integration and unification of acquired platforms by ensuring consistent quality practices across all products.
Your Responsibilities
· Design, build, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks spanning UI, API, integration, and regression testing.
· Drive an automation-first culture, reducing dependence on manual testing while preserving strong risk-based coverage.
· Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to underpin frequent, confident releases.
· Ensure test suites remain reliable, maintainable, and capable of delivering fast feedback to engineering teams.
· Surface quality risks early and take proactive steps to close gaps in test coverage.
· Serve as a quality advocate within your product domain, shaping engineering and product decisions through a quality-first lens.
· Collaborate with Engineering Managers and Product Managers to develop test strategies that align with roadmap priorities.
· Support release readiness by providing clear quality metrics, thorough defect analysis, and well-considered risk assessments.
· Contribute to raising QA standards, refining processes, and improving tooling across the broader engineering organisation.
Your Experience
· A minimum of 8+ years experience in QA Automation within a modern SaaS product environment.
· Strong practical experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or REST/API testing tools.
· Proficiency in at least one automation-friendly programming language, such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Python.
· Experience testing API-first and microservices-based architectures.
· A solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how automated testing integrates within them.
· A background working within Agile (Scrum) delivery teams.
· Comfort and confidence operating in regulated or compliance driven environments.
