Store Manager
Our client, one of Ireland’s most iconic names in Irish craft, design and gifts, is renowned for celebrating creativity, craftsmanship and contemporary Irish style. They have exclusively partnered with Cpl to recruit an experienced and dynamic Store Manager for their Galway city store.

The Role
Reporting to the Retail Director, the Store Manager will provide team leadership, direction and coaching on all aspects of store operations enabling the team to achieve its KPI’s, overall performance goals, especially its 5-star customer service standards.
Responsibilities to include:
· Management and team leadership, ensuring that the store meets its overall budgeted sales targets through excellence in customer service, maximising repeat business, up-selling, link and cross-selling.
· Excellence in driving and showcasing the brand through optimizing product visual merchandising is a priority.
· Strive to create the best possible experience for customers and colleagues each day.
· Monitor and deliver the annual sales performance budget, with the associated KPI’S; (sales, margin, conversion, stock loss, ATV, IPT, Mystery Shop).
· Building a team who are customer oriented and skilful in selling and product knowledge.
· Being aware of local competitors and market trends and use this analysis for monitoring own store performance identifying areas for future growth.
· Maintaining store appearance and merchandising standards.
· Analysing and acting on information with Buyers and Marketing in order to maximise sales performance of different product lines.
· Liaising with buying, marketing, warehouse on initiatives to improve store performance.
· Fully supporting marketing in the implementation of local marketing initiatives.
· Driving sales using product knowledge and selling techniques.
· Collecting customer details through database offering and monthly competitions.
· Actively promote and educate customers about the company's loyalty program, encouraging sign-ups and participation through effective communication and in-store marketing materials.
· Monitor levels of stock and stock control, optimising space management with the assistance of sales reports to monitor stock performance.
· Assist with the store P&L
· Train and develop store colleagues on how to effectively communicate and promote the loyalty program, ensuring that all team members are well-versed in its benefits, rewards, and how to sign up customers.
Skills & Experience that we need
· Experience operating in a fast-paced retail business environment which is team based and focuses on achieving optimum sales and margin performance
· Experience driving and showcasing products through optimizing product visual merchandising, standards and guidelines is a priority
· The ability to work efficiently in a constantly changing retail environment, demonstrating a willingness to learn, to try out new and unique ideas and apply them positive results
· The ability to coach others to guide them to achieve their potential
· The ability to build effective teams of people working together to meet the changing needs of customers
· Experience in driving sales using product knowledge, and selling techniques
· The ability to act as a Brand Ambassador
The Offer

The position is fully onsite in Galway city and will be scheduled across a seven-day rota in line with business needs, with operating hours subject to seasonal variation.
