Job Description:
- The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining, optimising, and troubleshooting mechanical units to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with safety regulations.
- HVAC System Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on all HVAC plant, plantroom equipment and associated controls.
- Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Identify and resolve system issues promptly, utilising diagnostic tools to maintain optimal functioning and minimise downtime.
- Optimisation and Upgrades: Assess and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and performance of HVAC systems, recommending upgrades or modifications as needed for improved performance.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations during maintenance activities, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel involved in HVAC system maintenance.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, component replacements and recommendations for improvements.
Skills and Requirements:
- Time served HVAC Technician, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Engineer or Plumber/Pipefitter with HVAC experience.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
- Thorough understanding of various types of air conditioning systems, components, and associated controls, along with demonstrated expertise in maintenance and repair techniques.
- Proficiency in diagnosing HVAC system issues and executing preventive maintenance following manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
- Experience with advanced HVAC technologies, smart controls, and energy-efficient solutions desirable.
