Production Manager - County Meath.
Job Purpose:
To oversee the manufacturing process, ensuring production targets are met safely, efficiently, cost-effectively, and to the required quality standards. The Production Manager will lead the production team, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, organise, and control production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines.
• Manage day-to-day production operations, including workforce performance, machinery, and material flow.
• Monitor production KPI's (output, efficiency, downtime, scrap, OEE, etc.) and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and environmental standards (ISO, Lean, 5S, etc.).
• Lead, train, and motivate the production team to achieve performance targets.
• Work with supply chain, maintenance, and quality departments to ensure smooth workflow.
• Drive lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Responsible for the implementation of budgets for labour, materials, and overhead costs.
• Prepare reports for senior management on production performance and improvement plans.
• Support new product introductions, process changes and implement improvement in mean-time-to-failure / product failure rate.
• Communicate required changes to improve build and implement through the design team.
• Plan service teams for installations, servicing and breakdowns.
• Manage and organise logistics

• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar methodologies.
• Good understanding of production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to interpret production data and apply analytical thinking.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Proven track record of delivering production targets and managing teams.
• Experience in health & safety and quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc.).
• Experience in mechanical, welding or electronic manufacturing an advantage (not essential).
