Production Support Engineer - North Dublin.
Our client seeks a "hands-on" Production Support Engineer to support a number of its existing manufacturing cells. The successful applicant will have a strong technical background and a minimum of 2 years' experience in a medium/high-volume mechanical/ manufacturing environments.
The key aspects of the role are:
• Support manufacturing processes and provide process improvements to existing products
• To define and validate the manufacturing process for upgrade of products or new products
• Support mechanical/electrical assembly jigs, fixtures and purpose-built test equipment
• Process analysis and product quality reporting
• To work closely with other Engineers and Production Staff to drive quality standards and improvements
• To work closely with Product Designers to ensure the product is designed for assembly
Interested applicants should have:
• Educated to at least degree level in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a mid/high-volume manufacturing environment
• Experience in use of structured problem-solving techniques
• Good “can do” attitude and ability to work well in a team
• ‘Hands-on’ ability
Although not essential, it is desirable if applicants have the following:
• Experience with practical application of Six Sigma tools, including though not exclusive to using Statistical Process Control, Gauge Studies & Process Capability
• Experience in use of Excel and related business intelligence tools for data analysis
• Experience in practical application of Industry 4.0 real time data analytics, including though not exclusive to using Power BI, SQL and VBA/Excel
• Experience in practical application of Lean Projects
• Experience in design, validation & implementation of assembly fixtures
• Experience using and interpreting technical drawings including GD&T’s
