Senior Quantity Surveyor – Cork
€70,000-€90,000 + Benefits
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable main contractor working on a prestigious new apartment development in Cork. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established business known for delivering high-quality residential projects across Ireland.
Role Overview:
You will play a key role in the commercial management of this multi-unit apartment scheme, overseeing all financial and contractual aspects from procurement through to final account.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle of cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the project
- Prepare and manage tender packages, subcontractor procurement, and contract administration
- Monitor project costs, variations, and valuations to ensure commercial targets are met
- Lead negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers
- Prepare monthly reports, cash flow forecasts, and final accounts
- Ensure compliance with contractual and legal obligations
- Work closely with the site team to ensure cost efficiency and value engineering
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
- Minimum 5+ years’ post-graduate experience, ideally in residential projects with a main contractor or developer
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Proven track record in managing multi-unit housing/apartment developments
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
