Toolroom Maintenance Foreman/Chargehand - County Donegal
In this role you will be responsible for:
• Supervising, planning and allocating the maintenance team and workload
• Owning planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and reactive response
• Maximising plant and equipment uptime and reliability
• Driving safe systems of work and maintenance standards on the floor
• Spares, consumables and contractor coordination
• Reporting on downtime, maintenance KPIs and improvement actions
• Supporting tool and jig changeovers and shop-floor installations
This is a supervisory role, owning maintenance and upkeep across the shop floor, leading a small team and driving reliability.
Requirements for this role:
• Time-served tool maintenance background (mechanical / electrical / multi-skilled) in a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Proven supervisory and people management experience — leading a maintenance team or crew
• Experience of press, tooling and shop-floor plant maintenance (stamping / welding environment an advantage)
• Strong planning and prioritisation — balancing planned (PPM) and reactive maintenance
• Self-starter who works on their own initiative to get the job done
• Strong problem-solver who can think on their feet under production pressure
• Clear communicator across production, engineering and management
• A desire to implement and own change and continuous improvement on the shop floor
