About Your New Job
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant Irish health and safety legislation.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments; identify hazards and implement corrective measures.
- Prepare, implement, and maintain the Construction Stage Safety and Health Plan.
- Deliver site-specific inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing health and safety training.
- Investigate and report on-site incidents, near-misses, and accidents.
- Maintain safety documentation including risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and safety statements.
- Coordinate with the PSCS (Project Supervisor Construction Stage) and PSDP (Project Supervisor Design Process) when applicable.
- Ensure use of appropriate PPE and adherence to site safety protocols by all workers and contractors.
- Liaise with external stakeholders including the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) and local authorities as required.
- Support emergency planning, drills, and incident response.
What Skills You Need
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a health and safety role within the construction industry in Ireland.
- In-depth knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and construction regulations.
- Relevant qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., QQI Level 6, NEBOSH Construction, or equivalent).
- Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling Certification.
- Full Clean Drivers Licence.
Desirable
- First Aid Responder (FAR) certificate.
- Experience working with PSDP/PSCS roles and responsibilities.
- Familiarity with safety management software and digital reporting tools.
