This award-winning Irish textile company established over 20 years ago and due to continued growth wish to recruit an experienced Manager to help lead their team.
The main purpose of this role will be to lead the day to day production activities to ensure that all customer orders are completed on time while ensuring compliance with all applicable quality standards.
Develop and plan a robust production schedule based on sales for all customers whilst maintaining quality at all times;
Implement Lean Manufacturing to production to reduce cost and increase manufacturing efficiencies throughout all areas of production;
Supervise and coach key staff members to make them team leaders in certain areas of production;
Deliver on company K.P.I’s and achieve defined business results through good Lean practices;
Manage and develop a strong production team through training and motivation of all staff members;
Forecast budgets material requirements to ensure cost effective purchasing for all production raw material;
To maintain and work within set standards at all times whilst delivering on targets set for production;
Work alongside and manage maintenance to ensure that downtime is kept to a minimum and to identify root cause and problem solving as a team;
Report and communicate effectively with Senior Management.
What we are looking for:
Ideal candidates may come from a similar role type or possibly from a Finance/Accountant background with experience in manufacturing.
You should have people management experience, be analytical, be good at understanding & acting on management reports – quality/efficiency/costs etc and must be able to demonstrate some credibility as a manager i.e. presentation skills/manner etc.
This could be a good opportunity for an accountant to move into general management.
The ideal person will be capable of solving problems and issues arising in production and provide solutions to the problems;
Must show a strong work ethic and take pride in their role as Supervisor of the production team;
Good communication skills and team player who will improve the team and deliver on set targets;
