My client, a 4* star award winning hotel are seeking an experienced Event and Sales Executive to join there team, specialising in Weddings, Corporate & Private Events.

Role:

  • This role is to support the Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM) on sales activities, co-ordinating weddings, social events & family gatherings, general local marketing & social media.
  • To increase Wedding business conversion and grow number of weddings for the hotel in accordance with the hotel budget and business plan.
  • To manage and maintain the function diary in order to yield maximum revenues.
  • Managing MICE accounts, Wedding accounts as well as relationship building with all local corporate and events clients.
  • Manage all aspects of Opera Sales & Catering diary and daily amendments to function sheets/BEO's.
  • Manage corporate client accounts
  • Manage wedding accounts from enquiry through to contract and execution of event on the day.
  • Up-dating and maintaining of client files in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Conducting follow up calls in order to obtain feedback from past customers/clients/events on a weekly basis.
  • Compiling and updating relevant reports for the Weddings, Conferences and Events on a weekly basis.
  • Liaise with Group Business Development teams to maximise cross-selling opportunities and convert leads.
  • Work with Group Business Development Manager in converting large residential conferences
  • To manage the PM account and ensure correct billing procedures are adhered to.
  • To co-ordinate and chair the weekly Function Sheet Meeting with the operational team discussing and finalising all booked business 10 days out.
  • Conducts corporate "Showrounds" and attends local corporate functions as well as in-house corporate entertainment evenings as required by the Director of Sales & Marketing.
  • To ensure clear action plans are in place and reviewed monthly in accordance with the hotel budget and business plan.
  • Maximise revenue in relation to the average customer spend by up-selling on all Conference, Meetings, Events and Wedding business.
  • Attends "Wedding Open Days" and Fairs along with the sales team and manage the planning activity surrounding these.
  • Co-ordinate and manage own Hotel Wedding Open Days, Showcase Evenings and Wedding Fairs.
  • Assist Director of Sales & Marketing with any telesales projects/past users telesales campaigns as requested.
  • To carry out any additional duties requested by the sales team which will support the departments and hotels business goals.
