The client is a leading engineering company who are seeking a buyer with experience working in an engineering/construction industry. 4 years experience. Based on a project in Frankfurt, you must be open to working here on a rotational basis,supported by the company.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Purchase equipment, materials and/or services for assigned projects.
Secure the quality and timely delivery of goods and/or services required for assigned projects.
Conduct commercial bid evaluations.
Prepare, issue and administer purchase orders.
Assist in the reallocation or disposal of excess materials.
Assist in proposals support when required.
Ensure that the Authority Matrix is followed stringently.
Expected to work with only general supervision.
Create internal reports.
Perform other duties as assigned by line manager
Minimum of 4 years work experience in a related field.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong Negotiation skills
A third level qualification preferably in supply chain or other related discipline.
Previous experience using SAP.
