Deputy Store Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Deputy Store Manager to join a leading retail employer in Bunratty, Co. Clare. This role will support the Store Manager in driving store performance, leading the team, and delivering an excellent customer experience.

The Role
The Deputy Store Manager will support the Store Manager in achieving budgeted sales, leading, and coaching the team, maintaining strong operational standards, and ensuring a consistently high level of customer service. The successful candidate will help create a positive, service-led culture while supporting the store in meeting its KPIs and overall performance goals.
Reporting to the Store Manager, key responsibilities will include:
· Supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the store and deputising in their absence
· Leading, motivating, and developing a high-performing retail team to achieve sales targets and store KPIs
· Delivering excellent customer service and ensuring every customer receives a positive and engaging store experience
· Maintaining high operational standards across logistics, administration, stock management, merchandising, customer service, and cash management
· Driving sales performance through effective team coaching, product knowledge, and strong commercial awareness
· Ensuring store procedures, company policies, and best practices are consistently followed
· Identifying opportunities to improve performance, promote the brand, and enhance the customer journey
· Supporting staff training and development across customer service, product knowledge, sales, and operational standards.
Skills and Experience Required
· Previous retail management or supervisory experience, ideally within a busy customer-facing retail environment
· A genuine passion for retail, customer service, and leading people
· Proven ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team to deliver strong sales and service results
· Strong commercial awareness with the ability to drive sales, manage KPIs, and identify opportunities for improvement
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage naturally and professionally with customers and colleagues
· Strong organisational skills with experience across stock management, store administration, cash handling, and operational procedures
· A flexible and adaptable approach to working hours and changing store demands
· A positive, energetic, and hands-on leadership style with a commitment to delivering high standards.
The Offer
This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary and benefits package, which may include a development plan, employee discount, sick pay, pension, and holidays, depending on the successful candidate’s qualifications and career experience.
The role is fully onsite in Bunratty, Co. Clare and will operate on a seven-day rota in line with business requirements. Hours of operation may vary seasonally.
