Accounts Payable Administrator
Our client, a Shannon based and long-established US manufacturing multinational, have now engaged exclusively with us in Cpl to hire an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Administrator to join the finance team on a 12-month fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave.
This role is based in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, supporting the end-to-end accounts payable process and ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments. So, if you are interested, then please apply today!!
The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, responsibilities will include the following:
Accounts Payable
· Process high volumes of supplier invoices (3-way match preferred: PO, GRN, invoice)
· Ensure all invoices are coded and posted accurately in the ERP system
· Manage the AP mailbox and respond to supplier queries in a timely manner
· Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies with internal departments (procurement, warehouse)
· Prepare and process weekly/monthly payment runs (EFT/SEPA)
· Maintain expense claim re-imbursement process.
Supplier Management
· Maintain accurate supplier master data
· Reconcile supplier statements and resolve outstanding balances
Month-End & Reporting
· Support internal and external audits with relevant documentation
Compliance & Controls
· Ensure adherence to company policies and internal controls
· Maintain proper documentation and audit trail
· Support continuous improvement of AP processes
Cross-Functional Support
· Liaise closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, and Finance teams
· Support ad hoc finance tasks as required
Your skills and experience that we need
· Ideally 1-2 years accounts payable experience in a similar environment
· Be proficient in MS-Office particularly Excel, Word
· Good communication skills including written, verbal, and interpersonal
· Have excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
· Be able to work independently without supervision,
· Be able to achieve results even when under pressure
· Good attention to detail, resulting in high level of accuracy in all aspects of the position
· Be able to track projects and prioritise effectively
· Maintain confidentiality and always use discretion
· Strong work ethic
The Offer
This position is being offered on a 12 month fixed term contract basis with salary depending on the candidates’ skills and experience but is expected to range up to approx. €40K-€50k + pension, and healthcare.
This role will be 4 days office based in Shannon with 1 day remote/WFH available.
