Position: Manufacturing Digitalization Manager
Location: Galway (Hybrid)

Your Responsibilities
- Drive and promote the adoption of a structured Lean framework across all manufacturing areas, incorporating methodologies such as 5S, TPM, SMED, Value Stream Mapping, Industrial Engineering, Kanban, and Standard Work.
- Perform on-site observations (Gemba walks) and detailed process reviews to uncover inefficiencies, waste, and production bottlenecks.
- Facilitate Kaizen initiatives and improvement workshops while mentoring teams to embed a long-term culture of continuous improvement.
- Evaluate and implement opportunities to incorporate digital technologies such as IoT devices, advanced analytics, MES/MOM platforms, and machine learning into manufacturing operations.
- Actively develop and implement software-based solutions, including coding, scripting, and integrating systems for shop floor applications.
- Oversee the evaluation, rollout, and integration of digital tools and automation systems within existing production environments.
- Maintain high standards of data accuracy and develop real-time dashboards for performance tracking and reporting.
- Lead initiatives to introduce best practices and support the transition toward a visually driven digital factory environment.
- Collaborate closely with Production and Quality teams to address complex manufacturing challenges using structured methodologies such as PDCA, 8D, and Fishbone analysis.
- Design and implement improvement strategies aimed at reducing process variability and increasing first-pass yield (FPY).
- Ensure new Lean and digital processes are successfully scaled from pilot phases into full production operations.
Your Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Industrial, Manufacturing, Computer Science, or a related discipline).
- At least five years of practical experience in high-volume manufacturing or production settings.
- Demonstrated success in implementing and maintaining Lean practices.
- Minimum of three years’ experience delivering digital transformation initiatives (such as MES, SCADA, or IoT) within manufacturing environments.
- Proven capability in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, C#, Java) or scripting for automation and data processing tasks.
