The Opportunity
We are now seeking an Offshore Senior Lead Project Manager to join our Offshore Delivery function.
The successful candidate will be part of the team reporting to the Head of Offshore Project Delivery and will be responsible for assisting with the development, execution and ongoing management of effective procurement strategies for the Offshore Delivery programme.
You will assist in the development of new Offshore Frameworks and define the Procurement Strategy in liaison with key business functions to ensure EirGrid requirements are fully met in a cost-efficient manner. You will support with procurement activity on our current frameworks to ensure that key regulatory, legal, and commercial governance policies and processes are properly addressed and managed in timely manner.
You will assist with the entire partner lifecycle including but not limited to; calling off the strategic relationships, onboarding, service delivery and offboarding activities.
We will look to you to communicate to management on supply chain developments and provide regular market intelligence updates highlighting any risks on our critical business path as early as possible. In your role, you will provide professional procurement expertise to deliver on key business objectives and collaborate closely with the commercial team in Finance.
The Team
The CTTO is responsible for driving innovation, digital transformation, and strategic technology delivery across EirGrid. It plays a central role in enabling the organisation to meet its decarbonisation and infrastructure goals through the deployment of modern systems, data intelligence, and programme governance frameworks.
The Phase 2 / Powering Up Offshore South Coast team sits within this office, ensuring alignment between technology strategy and offshore programme execution. The Offshore Phase 2 and Tonn Nua team leads the delivery of the Phase 2 Offshore infrastructure programme, including the Tonn Nua grid connection, and ensures readiness for future offshore wind integration
About you
Successful candidates will have:
- 3rd level Qualification in Supply Chain Management/Engineering/Business/Law or equivalent with 6+ years’ experience
- Knowledge of utilities and/or experience of public sector tendering
- Proven experience of working in contract management, client engagement and/or service delivery
- Expertise in the procurement of services or products within or destined for the offshore/onshore energy industry
- Working knowledge of purchasing tools, platforms and processes
- Understanding of the financial analysis and reporting of project budgets
