Summary

Glenstal is a highly successful, catholic seven-day boarding school rooted in the Benedictine tradition and charism. Adjacent to Glenstal Abbey, a monastic community of 30 monks, the school occupies the historic Glenstal Castle – a stately home which still retains much of its antique splendour alongside twenty-first century facilities for teaching and learning. The Glenstal estate of some 650 acres offers us a truly exceptional setting renowned for its beauty and tranquillity.
Our small school caters to 220 boys aged 12-19, drawing students from across Ireland and beyond. The school has a very strong academic history, and is widely regarded as one of the top schools in the Republic of Ireland.
