Systems Administrator - County Cavan.
Our client seeks a highly adaptable, solution-oriented Systems Administrator to join their dynamic team. This role demands a proactive individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can design scalable, secure infrastructure that aligns with business needs.
The role involves working closely with internal stakeholders to understand requirements, design and implement infrastructure solutions, and manage external service providers to ensure high availability, security and performance of IT systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with business units to define infrastructure requirements and design appropriate and efficient solutions.
• Implement and maintain core infrastructure systems. Ensuring company's architecture meet the organisation's requirements, including hardware and software components.
• Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues to ensure system stability, reliability and performance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and frameworks (e.g.ISO27001, NIS2).
• Maintain robust documentation for infrastructure systems, processes and configurations.
• Contribute to ongoing digital transformation projects and cloud adoption strategies.
• Provide support and training where necessary to help the organisation understand and effectively use the systems provided.
Skills Required:
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence or a related field or equivalent practical experience and certifications.
Technical Skills:
• VMWare
• Veeam
• Networking / General & Unifi
• Firewalls (Fortigate)
• Microsoft 365, including Defender and Intune
• Windows client and server Operating Systems
• Active Directory and EntraID
• Databases – SQL Server (administration and troubleshooting)
