A leading top-tier building and civil engineering contractor is currently seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a major residential project based in South Dublin.

This contractor has a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality, complex projects across sectors such as commercial, residential, healthcare, education, and infrastructure, and is known for strong project delivery, repeat clients, and excellent career development opportunities.

The Role

Working closely with a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager, the successful candidate will support the commercial management of the project from early stages through to completion.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with cost management and budget control
• Preparing subcontractor packages and supporting procurement
• Measurement, valuations, and cost reporting
• Assisting with interim valuations and final accounts
• Supporting subcontractor payments and variation assessments
• Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and consultants
• Ensuring commercial procedures and controls are followed

Requirements

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• 1–3+ years’ experience in a similar role with a main contractor or PQS
• Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work within a team
• Ambitious, motivated, and keen to progress within a reputable contractor
